Mocha D is a Boston based DJ, jamming since 1998 and providing grooves for many private functions throughout the New England area.  Mocha D spins hot booty-shaking jams from Hip Hop, Funk, R&B, Old School, Rock, Disco, Latin and Carribean rhythms, plus Swing and Big Band Classics. Be prepared to dance!

"Growing up the youngest child in a very musical family has given me an appreciation and love of all sorts of music.

From my parents: jazz, swing, big band and traditional Cape Verdean music.

From my siblings: R&B, funk, disco, blues, folk and rock.

All have become a part of my musical tastes; a multigenerational appreciation of all types of music.

On my own I have explored many styles of music, most recently world beat and latin music. I also keep up to date with current pop music. I have been in a number of bands playing percussion and singing blues, reggae and alternative rock."
